Sinh Traditional Village

Sinh village belongs to Phu Mau commune, Phu Vang district, Thua Thien Hue province, Sinh village painting often serves for worship of local people. SInh village is located oppose to Thanh Ha river - one of the most famous river of Lords, it is also called 'Pho Lo'. This is also the cultural centre. Sung Hoa pagoda of the village is known one of the biggest Lord mansions of Hoa Chau.

The trade village about painting served for worship of local people. Sinh paints are mainly serving belief. It can be divided into 3 types. The paints about characters are mainly Guan Yin Statue. Other paints are called “con anh” including two types:  woman and man paints, boy and girl paints

The paints about clothes, money and tools in order to worship are also the small paints. The paints about beast such as elephant, tiger… are in order to worship for death people. Sinh village painting can be compared with Dong Ho village painting, Kim Hoang village, Hang Trong village… Sinh village is far about 7 kilometer from Hue to the Northeast. The people often use the paper which is made from Scallop powder.

In order to find plants to prepare colors, they must go to jungle in the West of Thua Thien Hue. In addition, the Sing often uses red stone so as to take red color. The black is used particularly and also the easiest making. People often use glutinous rice to burn into ash and then mixed with water. Sinh village painting size belongs to its paper
